The work schedule for this position is:

  • Full Time 40 hours per week

The Procurement and Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating procurement operations and logistics management for the CDC Haiti office. The incumbent ensures these procedures are implemented in a transparent and accountable manner. The incumbent operates under the direct supervision of the Operations and Management Branch Chief.  Facilitates the process of procurement requests for a variety of commodities and services. Ensures accuracy and completeness of request forms and accuracy of customer's technical specifications. Conducts market research. Ensures the appropriate number of quotes are provide when procurement is above the micro-purchase threshold. Provides guidance to staff on the submission of sole source justifications when appropriate.

Processes purchases utilizing petty cash or Blanket purchase agreement according to the guidelines provided by FMO and GSO. Serves as an Occasional Money Holder for the purposes for receiving petty cash. Initiates purchases and contracting requests via My Services, ARIBA and/or ILMS. Maintains an accurate and up-to-date information tracking system incorporating all procurement activities to facilitate knowledge of status /progress of procurements at any time.

Creates and maintain files of vendors and suppliers, market rates for commonly procured goods and services, and other procurement related information. Coordinates with Finance Team and sub-cashiers to reconcile procurement documents for correctness, accuracy, appropriateness and transparency. Reconciles purchase orders and receiving reports .Collaborates with the Deputy Director and Finance Team on the development and implementation of the annual acquisition plan .Follows up periodically on outstanding or partially filled orders and inform GSO and receiving personnel in case of damages or shortages.

Qualifications and Evaluations



Two years of progressively responsible experience in administrative, logistics or project management

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics management or accounting is required.


LANGUAGE:  Level IV sp/read English is required. “This may be tested”

Level IV sp/read French is required.

Level IV Haitian Creole sp/read is required

Agency Benefits:

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Port-au-Prince may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.

For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
