Security Supervisor II
Under direction, supervises all shifts of Security Officers on one campus to maintain campus safety and security. Selects and trains staff. Develops campus wide policies and programs. Performs other related duties as assigned.
High school graduate, GED or three years of security work. Seven years of security experience. Valid driver’s license. Considerable knowledge of first aid, safety, security, supervision, University activities, University campus, University policies and procedures. Considerable skill in operation of auto, flashlight, telephone switchboard, two way radio. Ability to apply principles to solve practical problems, analyze problems quickly and take appropriate action under stress, calculate fractions, decimals, and percentages; read technical reports and correspondence; write legibly; write routine reports and correspondence; use proper spelling, punctuation, and grammar, speak clearly and audibly, provide courteous service, lift 75 pounds, honesty.
Works inside and outside. Works rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays. Subject to call 24 hours. 7 days per week. Some driving. Exposed to weather, dirt, upset persons.
