The General Services Officer (GSO) Assistant is responsible for a broad range of functions including the management of physical resources and logistics at Embassy Georgetown. He/she will develop, plan, implement, and manage ongoing support programs including warehousing and inventory of property and supplies, motor pool, and housing. The GSO Assistant shall ensure strong

management controls to guard against fraud, waste, and abuse. Backs up the General Services Officer in his/her absence.    

Qualifications and Evaluations



Two (2) years of management related work and a minimum of one year of supervisory responsibilities is required.

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED is required. 


LANGUAGE: Level IV (Fluent) Speaking/Reading English is required.


Must have good interpersonal skills, ability to prioritize large numbers of varied tasks, good follow-up and ability to organize once given general instructions.

Must be customer-service oriented and be able to solve problems independently.

Must be able to drive and possess a valid driver's license.

Must have thorough knowledge of general office operations as well as Microsoft Office computer programs including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Must be able to learn to use effectively the various computer programs used by the section (i.e. ILMS, MyServices, and RPA) within one year of employment.
