Walkers invites applications from suitably qualified Caymanians for the role of Trainee Secretary in our Cayman office.
Part of our structured Junior Legal Secretary Training Programme, this position is for motivated Caymanians interested in pursuing a career as a legal secretary. Successful applicants will gain invaluable experience and exposure to the firm’s practice areas by job shadowing experienced executive legal secretaries for a set period of time (usually 18 or 24 months).
Participants of this training programme may also be eligible for sponsorship to undertake a professionally recognised industry qualification.
The successful candidate(s) will have:
>> a minimum of I/GCSE or CXC passes in Math and English at a higher level
>> 2 years prior administrative experience, within a professional environment preferred
>> Highly motivated
>> Willingness and enthusiasm to take on new challenges
>> Detail oriented with good organisational and timemanagement skills
>> Flexible and dependable with the ability to work efficientlyin a fast paced environment
>> Good written and oral communication skills
>> Strong relationship building skills at all staff levels
>> Basic competency level in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
